...as we sometimes call it. When things are not very exciting at our jobs, we are sometimes taking a day off, that day becomes either a lazy day or a crazy day . In short, during lazy days, we watch crappy TV shows, eat junk food, drink dry gin mixed with Mountain Dew and try new, sex related, things.

Today, we watched some Futurama, and that reminded me how the damn thing can get emotional.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I'm not the tough motherfucker you all think I am.

I'm sorry, guys.

That is all.

You just wait till the last episode. As soon as it ended, my computer released pollen, chili powder, ground pepper at my face, and there was something in my eye.

;_;

I don't get enough vacation time to take such "mental health days," as I call them. :(

Can't believe that is the last fucking episode. They need to make more, they need to keep this show going forever. It gives people hope for the distant future, I mean it isn't only ridicules and funny, but it makes us hope that even over 1000 years, we won't lose our sense of humor, attitude and sarcasm, and that we will adapt to change, without losing the things that make us, us. Good or bad(or prospectively viewed as bad).

"Oh, you know. Worked out."

"What kind of working out?"

"...cardio."

I've coincidentally been cutting onions during more Futurama episodes than any other animated show.

Thats it. I mostly watch Futurama in the kitchen... while cutting onions...

I'm catching up on the last season now and just saw the episode where Fry needs to go back in his dreams. Yeah, both my wife and I were choked up.

We usually use Futurama as white noise when going to sleep, since we've seen it so many times, but the episodes with Fry's dog and his brother are still unwatched in our Nextflix queue. The other ones we can get through.

I got to meet John DiMaggio last year. I even got him to speak a little Bender for me. I said "Bender honey, we love you" to which he replied "shut up baby I know it"

He signed my futurama DVD, funny ass guy, was cool to meet him.

We need to start a 'We the People' campaign. Get Obama to sign an executive order bringing back Futurama.... I will sacrifice the Cleveland Show, and a bunch of those shit Adult Swim animated monstrosities to bring Futurama back.

I agree with sacrificing Adult Swim programming, probably about 80% of it. Swap The Cleveland Show for American Dad and you have yourself a deal

I'd advice you to go talk with your boss about it, but I won't. I don't want to be responsible for losing your job, so I won't.

Try get under your boss's skin, or under his boss's skin. Or become your own boss.

I like American Dad. Fine, keep all the MacFarlane shows and get rid of all the Adult Swim shit.

Watch them. It may make you cut onions/whatever euphemism for sadness, but it completes the saga. It's like not watching the holy trilogy and not watching the Rancor scene, because the love between a man and his (now deceased) grotesque beast pet is too much to bare.

02/06/2014 at 14:51

No, I've seen them already. Just no need to put myself through that again.

The scene where his dog is sitting outside waiting for him is just brutal. The runner up is when Fry realized his brother named his son after him.

No mention of the ending of "Leela's Homeworld?"

It doesn't seem to exist on Youtube, but the song does and it's beautiful especially if you know the context.

Oh god, and "Game of Tones" is just.... I actually watched that one with my mom shortly before heading to college. We didn't know what we were getting ourselves into. It was the most emotional a TV show has ever made me, hands down.

You really prefer The Cleveland Show to American Dad?? Rallo and Cleveland Jr are the only good parts of the show.

Really? I'm the total opposite with these shows. I'd argue that American Dad is better than Family Guy.

Kinja'd!!! Nibbles > oldirtybootz
02/06/2014 at 15:59

Kinja'd!!!0

I think it has to do with timing. American Dad came around just as I was completely soured by Family Guy's tired shtick, and it felt primarily the same. "Different characters" that included a talking pet, inept father figure, stereotypical teen daughter, etc etc etc but wait! We added an alien! That kind of stuff

I was off of McFarlane shows for a good long while before watching The Cleveland Show on Netflix.

The Amazing World of Gumball. Now there's quality animated programming ;)
